Hitops (alternatively High Tops) or Super Hitops are a recurring present in the ToeJam & Earl series.
When used, they allow ToeJam and/or Earl to run. This is useful to quick exploring, or escaping dangerous Earthlings. However the Hiptops wear down fast.
ToeJam & Earl[]
The player(s) begin the game with four presents of Bonus Hitops between them. These function exactly like the Super Hitops present, but have a unique appearance and are not affected by the Randomizer.
ToeJam & Earl III: Mission to Earth[]
Dropping an Extra Bucks present near a well turns it into an open High Tops present.
ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove[]
Both versions of Toejam ('New' ToeJam and 'Old Skool Toejam') have a special ability to get double time from Hitops, and starts with them in his inventory.
There is an 'amped' version of the present, which will make you run 50% faster and lasts 30% longer.
The Power Hat of Panic will cause the player to run in a manner similar to using Hitops without using them. The effect happens at random (albeit frequently), and will continue for a random amount of time (albeit usually short bursts of 10-15 seconds).
